Closing September with Sinatra

We closed the month of September with a gathering of fourteen members at PianoWorks. The repertoire ranged from Beethoven to contemporary composers, and performances ranged from initial stages of learning a piece to a polished performance by a competition prize winner. Congratulations were extended to Utako for winning the second place prize at the Aloha piano competition. Finally, a first for GMG, Rob Busey treated the crowd to a Sinatra Sampler – snipits of 25 Sinatra songs were played to gauge audience knowledge of the tunes. Who knows, this may morph into a GMG version of Name that Tune!

Nice title, Kimber! Yes, Rob Busey sang 25 Sinatra songs and Nancy Dunn was the winner of knowing a lot of his songs!
