A Music Memory

Updated: Aug 16, 2020

I am not able to participate in the August 6 musicale, but I would like to share a vivid music memory from my childhood. My dad had a vast music collection. Yes, it was vinyl. I would take some albums and play them on my record player and learn show tunes and some opera. I remember listening to an album of arias over and over. I developed a love for opera and gained such an insight into what one could do vocally. I was particularly impressed by the aria, Un bel di, from Madame Butterfly. I have been involved in music all my life and thankful that I am able to continue to do so.
