Meet Sam Smith-GMG Interview Series

Sam revived his study of piano in 2010 building on his childhood lessons. After retiring as an IT from GA Tech he took 6 months to do a thru hike on the AT( very impressive) from Maine to GA. In 2016, Sam pursued a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the U. of West GA. He graduated in the spring of 2020. He enjoys playing solo pieces as well as collaboratively with his wife who plays clarinet and recorder. Sam also played in the Army Band while he was in the service. He highly recommends music camps and has attended Summer Keys in the beautiful state of Maine for 10 years. Sam plans to continue playing with the groups he is currently a part of.
