Dr. William Foege

Dr. William Foege, former Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, died Saturday 1/24/26 at age 89. He was Director when I started at CDC in 1978. I have never met a medical colleague and leader that I respected more. He was a giant in public health.
