Kristi Helfen teaches Applied Piano at Oxford College of Emory University, as well as students of all ages in her private studio at home. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education/Piano from Asbury University and her Master of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Georgia State University where she studied with Sergio Gallo. Kristi was the accompanist for Coro
Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica and she continues to do freelance accompanying. She is a 15-year member of Redeemer Piano Ensemble and began collaborating with Pam Asberry when Pam joined the group a few years ago. Kristi and Pam have performed together as a piano duo at the Georgia Music Teachers Association Conference in 2016, and then again as featured duet performers with the Gwinnett Symphony Wind Orchestra later that year. Kristi also enjoys collaborating on duet concerts with Pam Martin. Over the last three years, they have presented recitals at various venues including Georgia State University, Oxford College15 and Agnes Scott College.
